Œ Main Workstation Contains all Maxwell programs and data Can be used as a traditional office workstation as well as a main workstation "server", depending on performance and workload requirements Contains Open DataBase Connectivity (ODBC) components to allow access to Maxwell data by third party software products (Crystal Reports, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, etc.) Connected to network hub(s) via a Network Interface Card Typically Pentium 300MHz processor (or better) with 128MB (or more) Random Access Memory (RAM) � Office Workstations Can contain Maxwell application programs or use those stored on the main workstation Typically Pentium 200Mhz (or better) PC's with 64MB Random Access Memory (RAM) Ž Remote or Jobsite Workstations Must contain remote communication software (PC Anywhere, Carbon Copy, Remote Control, etc.) remote components to allow communication with an office-based communications workstation (See item 5) via dial-up phone lines Need not contain any Maxwell components Typically configured with 56K modem Typically Pentium 200Mhz (or better) PC's with 64MB Random Access Memory (RAM) Can be desktop PC or laptop units � Modem Typically 56K and can be rack-mounted style or installed in Communications Workstation Must be connected to office-based communications workstation � Communications Workstation Can be used as an office workstation only when remote workstation is not "dialed-in" Can contain Maxwell application programs or use those stored on the main workstation Typically Pentium 200Mhz (or better) PC's with 64MB Random Access Memory (RAM) Must contain remote communication software (PC Anywhere, Carbon Copy, Remote Control, etc.) host components to allow communication with a dial-up remote workstation (See item 3) via dial-up phone lines Operated remotely by the user on the remote workstation Can only be used in conjunction with one (1) remote workstation at a time ‘ Network Hub May be 10Mbit, 100Mbit, or switchable 10/100 depending on network configuration May be "intelligent" router/concentrator variety or simple hub type Connects all workstations together on the network
