The Inventory Control module allows you to easily track and value inventory items, providing accurate, up-to-the-minute information for everyone in your organization — from project managers to warehouse personnel to service technicians to accounting personnel.Inventory Control is fully integrated with Job Cost, Service Management, and Equipment Costing as well as the traditional accounting areas. A single material requisition updates costs for the appropriate construction job, service work order or equipment item. Stock transfers enable you to track items moving from one location to another, and then provide a complete reconciliation of the inventory by location. All inventory transactions are stored in detail on the system, ensuring a full audit trail. The Inventory Control module meets the most exacting requirements. For example, you establish inventory categories, which enable you to manage inventory by classifications that make sense for your company. You decide whether to track inventory items in whole units, or in wholes and parts. You decide whether to cost your inventory based on LIFO, FIFO, Market Value, or Average Cost. You can use the Pricing Service LINK add-on with third-party pricing services to automatically update and maintain accurate pricing information for your inventory items. You establish the appropriate number and types of warehouses for your company; locations can be created for trucks and job sites as well as actual warehouses. Items can also be drop shipped direct to a service customer or job site. This enables you to record the activity without actually affecting the inventory account.
